Rev. Corey Jones has a background in children’s, outreach, camping, and pastoral ministries, serving in different capacities since 2000. After graduating from Florida Southern College with a degree in Sociology, he continued his work with First UMC, Lakeland as the Associate Director of Neighborhood Ministries (a free after-school and summertime ministry for at-risk children and youth). In 2009, he became the director.
Simultaneously, he was appointed as the pastor of St. Mark UMC, Lakeland. Upon earning his Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary, he was appointed to St. Luke’s UMC, Orlando on July 1, 2012, where he currently serves as the Executive Pastor. He also serves on various boards and committees.
Corey is married to his best friend, Carol, a middle-school math teacher. They have two sons, Gavin Michael and Isiah Jackson. The four of them love swimming, watching sports and movies, going to the beach, and dancing in the kitchen.
